If you have an internship listing you’d like to post, we invite you to register to create an employer/opportunity provider account on artSource, the ARC's online artist opportunities database.
When an SMFA student has been approved to complete a credit-bearing internship and a position has been formally offered, an internship contract must be completed and signed by the student, the
sponsor, the program director, and the intern faculty advisor. Contracts are prepared by the ARC after the internship position has been posted on artSource. Interns are required to attend a total of four (4) on-campus classes (see Important Internship Dates), communicate regularly with their internship
faculty advisor, keep a journal,
and present visual
documentation of their internship
experience and
final evaluation forms at their
Review Board.
The intern's faculty
advisor will arrange for an on-site visit and discussion with the intern's
supervisor once per semester.
