Undergraduate Degree Programs

Undergraduate degree programs at the Museum School combine the artistic challenge of the SMFA’s studio programs and the academic rigor of Tufts University.

Whether you choose the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), the Bachelor of Fine Arts Plus MAT in Art Education, or the Combined-Degree Program (BFA/BA or BFA/BS), you’ll be fully enrolled at both the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. You’ll immerse yourself in studio practice at the SMFA, get an in-depth liberal arts education from Tufts, and graduate with a highly respected degree from Tufts.

New this year, the SMFA is pleased to offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art Program in partnership with Northeastern University. Click here to learn more about this program. Please note: There are a limited number of places available in the new SMFA/Northeastern joint degree program. If you are interested in studying at the SMFA, we encourage you to apply to both the Northeastern and Tufts joint degree programs.
